Mezger's Zinnia Patch July 10, 2016 08:34

Happy Sunday!
About a week ago, Gentry & I went on a special one on one date. I love little times like these where we can have some alone time for girl chat. She's growing up so fast and I just want to bottle up all this 5 year old sweetness.
Gentry CA Flower Farm
This great local attraction is a short drive and Gentry thought it was so wonderful! Every year the Mezger family plants a large plot of zinnias. The flower farm is open to the public and anyone can come, enjoy and pick these beautiful and color blooms! There was no one out there so we got the place to ourselves! Such a fun morning!

Rows & Rows of Colorful Zinnias! Gentry would pick the flowers out and I did the cutting. If you go, I would recommend bringing along mason jars (or some kind of vase) and some clippers.

This sweet girl decided she needed a jar of fresh blooms by her bedside to "enjoy every morning". After the 4th, the flowers were still going strong and the jar also included a nice collection of glow in the dark bracelets carefully added into the arrangement. Oh to be 5 ;)
I hope everyone enjoys a sweet and relaxing Sunday!

Vibeka
The Farm is located at 12410 County Road 99W, north of Yolo. The flowers are free; clippers, vases and buckets of water are left out for visitors to use. But anyone who cuts flowers for themselves must deliver a bouquet to someone who cannot pick their own.
