As you know, we are expecting baby #3 in June which meant that it was time for the two older girls to bunk up together! This was such a fun project and they have been really happy with their new special space. They both call it their "Princess Room" - not quite sure why but we'll roll with it ;)
We started by painting...which for these girly girls meant the perfect shade of piggy pink! We went with Benjamin Moore's Sugarcane which looks darling in the room and matches their bedding really well.
For sheets, I found these super soft dark grey sheets on Amazon
that again are a great match to the floral bedding! The sweet little throw pillows came from Marshall's.
The beds both came from Meli-D Creations, a local business. The one on the left, we had custom built as a trundle bed when we moved into our new house and the second one I found at one of her warehouse sales when Chloe was a baby and just knew we would need it in her room someday! It's just the sweetest!
Because both girls are a little obsessed with horses, we added some horse themed touches to the room. The above canvas was from a local Tack store, but can also be found online: HERE.
The watercolor floral horse print I found on IG a while ago, unfortunately, it looks like the link is no longer working :( I did find some cute options on Etsy though - like this one: watercolor floral horse.
We added some floating white IKEA
shelves for special trinkets and figurines. We read tons of books, so this sweet little bookshelf
was perfect for the space!
Since we were putting both girls into one room, we had to eliminate a dresser and make the most of the space we have. (With girls whose mama is a Matilda Jane Clothing
trunk keeper and also monograms clothes,
we had a LOT of clothes to fit into one closet!) We decided to create a custom closet with the PAX system
with drawers from Ikea, some added shelving and a double hanging rod.
For a little extra added drawer space, we attached this IKEA Besta System
below their window to function as both a night stand and also gives them two large drawers for storing art supplies. By attaching it to the wall, we are still able to pull the trundle bed out without having to move around a bunch of furniture.

There's still a few more things I want to add to the space - I'm thinking something monogrammed above their bed but am still on the hunt. Other than that, it's pretty much finished up which means it will soon be time to move onto creating a nursery for Baby Boy! But for now - I'm in girl world loving all the pink, flowers and ruffles!
