Happy May! {A Weekend Recap} May 02, 2016 15:02

Happy May!
One day in and this month is off to a great start! This weekend we packed up the car and headed out of town for a beach visit with our sweet Gramps.
There's nothing better than rocking on a porch swing listening to his oldest memories (he's 87 and has a million stories!) and listening to the waves crashing in the distance.

The one thing I really love about visiting is hearing new stories and traditions every time I go. Well this time was no exception.
- Men - this is where you start taking notes -
For 67 years, every May 1st (May Day), my Gramps would go out in the garden and pick flowers and put them in the same little basket and "door-bell ditch" my grandma. Not only is this man a jokester, but he is a true gentlemen. Some years she would forget that it was coming but he always remembered. Well, since we happened to be there on May Day this year, Gramps continued the tradition with our little girls. It was the sweetest thing!

Talk about the host with the most - world famous waffles were on the menu & we were on our way to the beach!

We love a good beach day and when it's 80 degrees with a view of the Golden Gate Bridge in the background, we are all happy campers!

I hope everyone had a great weekend! Now back to Monday...orders to pack, items to embroider & dreams to build!
