Spring Break 2016 April 18, 2016 10:25

Happy Monday!
Last week was one of those weeks I was not ready to leave. Gentry had Spring Break and while it complicates things a little when it comes to the work life balance, it's totally worth it. Spending some extra time in the sunshine with our girls was the perfect refresh and recharge.

She spent the first couple days having buckets of fun at "Camp Grandma" so the shop could continue as usual. And while the other days did include lots of errands (post office, CPA, and all other things that a small business owner must do), we did make time for extra chocolate milk runs and dance parties and even squeezed in two fun trips!

One of things I love most about living in Northern California is we are pretty much two hours (or less) from so many fun adventures.
Our girls love animals so we tried out the San Francisco Zoo one day. If you haven't been and live relatively close, stop what you are doing and plan a trip! The highlight was probably having Gentry as our own little docent sharing all kinds of animal facts. This kid's love for animals is so strong.

Right after this pic, Chloe started slamming on the glass, so that was time for our exit.

Yesterday we packed up the kids along with some friends and took to the beach. We could not have asked for more perfect weather. Sun, sand and a drink in my hand makes for one happy mama. Plus - the girls were so exhausted from splashing in the waves all day that they both napped coming and going. Score!

Well now it's Monday, back to the grind, and time to do some big prep for all things red, white and blue. I'm so excited! Mama has a big iced coffee and it's going to be 91 degrees today so my mind is moving into Summer mode.
